It’s been a while since my last seasonal wishlist which was very rational even if I eventually got only one thing (a pair of black patent ballet flats). I don’t know why but I realize I hate shopping for cardigans and even more for plain t-shirts, while I could buy 5 or 6 sweaters in a row.
In accordance with my last big wishlist post, I tried to stick with simple and elegant things. So, this is, basically, what I need to buy.
I can’t have too much sweaters. I love them and wear them, almost on a daily basis. This cashmere sweater by J.Crew has everything that I love at the moment : cables, cashmere, boat-neck, 3/4 sleeves and a gorgeous neutral color. I’ll wait for reviews, though and hope it will get on sale ’cause the price is a bit higher that I can afford for a sweater.
The second one is a true crush, I love everything from the stripes to the knit. It’s cotton so would be great for spring. The price tag is not too bad but I’ll still wait for a coupon code.
I need jeans. Like, right now. I went from 4 pairs of blue jeans to 1 pair of ankle jeans and 1 pair of skinny jeans that will need to be replace soon. I spotted those jeans from Gap that seem to run small, I may order a 00 and hope that it fits. They’re no way I’m going to buy them at full price, so I’ll wait for a coupon code. The second ones are the exact pair of Cheap Monday jeans I bought few years ago (featured here) and that I sadly had to get rid off ’cause they were worn out. How much I loved these jeans… I already know my sizing and the quality (great, by the way). The price is great for the quality you get, and I like they run pretty small and fit me well.
Okay, I already own too much shoes but my main problem is : lack of basics. Like black patent pumps. Those seem to be really good and well-made and they’re not overpriced. Taking into account that Ann Taylor offers a LOT of reductions, you know you can get bargains. They’re 50% off right know with a lot of sizes still available. I read they run a bit large so you might have to size down. I primarily wanted to splurge for the J. Crew Mona pumps but they have man-made lining and I hate synthetic lining and inner soles. The Ann Taylor ones are 100% leather.
The next pair of shoes is not reasonable at all and I even think it’s a bit silly to pay that much for a pair of suede boots. By Isabel Marant, a brand that I find utterly snob and overestimated (just as Maje, Sandro, Vanessa Bruno and all the French clique (except APC) that allow themselves to sell poorly made clothes at astronomic prices and are proud of it). But I can’t help it, I just love them. I browsed online blogs to find a dupe but nothing was that pretty. I want them in taupe, which seems to be dark enough to my liking and will go well with the other items of my wardrobe. I just hope the quality is good and they’re sturdy enough to live a normal life.
Well, I think that’s all and that’s already a lot of stuff and a good amount of money. I have a lot of time to find my little treasures as the temperatures here get warmer only in mid-end April.
See you in 4 months for a new wishlist :)
